The Hollinwell Incident

The Hollinwell Incident, also known as "All Fall Down", was an unexplained event at a rural field in Nottinghamshire in 1980 in which three hundred people suddenly fell ill and collapsed.

  1. I wasn't there at hollingwell when the event took place but collapsed myself the same weekend at my uncles back garden in Kirkby in ash field. I couldn't get my breath. My uncle took me home to parents who then called for an emergency doctor to come to the house, the doctor diagnosed me with asthma & I went from being a tree climbing tomboy who used to win every race at sports day to a sickly weak child who was unable to run for getting out of breath & sounding like Darth Vader when breathing.I was 12 years old at the time.To this day my asthma starts if I'm exposed to strong chemicals &I believe that weekend I was exposed to some kind of toxic fumes, that's why I don't believe that the hollingwell incident was mass hysteria.Out of curiosity does anyone happen to know if the victims of hollingwell have been left with any long term breathing problems or devoped asthma or react badly to toxic fumes?.
