Since I wrote this article St Johns College have almost completed the building whose site had uncovered the remains of this strange archaeological site. This place could turn out to be one of the most interesting places in Oxford history. It shows that it dates back to pre-Illuminati ages. As with many ancient discoveries in Oxford there may have been a cover-up on this occasion.
